Congratulations to Rob Warner for winning the Stratford-Upon-Avon Club Ralph Varden trial at Park Farm Hook Norton on Sunday.
Warner just made the best of the deteriorating wet conditions, to take the win in what was a high scoring event, by just one mark from Martin Podesta with Eveshams Chris Wickham in third spot.
On the 50/50 Masters route, James Gammons took a convincing win partly due to his 'flat-out' fault free ride through the tree section observed by Neil Ludlow at Section nine.
The 'old-guard' dominated the popular B route with Dean Basford taking the win by one mark from Alan Taylor, with Mick Flanagan third, closely followed by Rob Faulkner, Dave Fowler and Steve Hay, who was best pre-65 riding his BSA.
Scores for the C route were a little more modest, with the skill to ride muddy cambers being the order of the day. Paul Heron was best, losing 29 marks from Simon Dowling in runner up spot. Best lady rider was Jess Basford and Jayden Wright best Youth C. As we've seen throughout the 2024 season, Youth D rider George Poel did well to mix it with the bigger bikes, getting through the mud on his little Oset electric machine for a well deserved finish.
Thanks to the Observers for braving the weather and to the landowner for allowing the continued use of Park Farm.
Our next event will be the Colmore Cup on 16th Feb 2025.
Also, 2025 licences and Stratford Club memberships are now available on Sport80.
